Castor fires back at Steele for campaign ad claiming he was ‘not looking out’ for alleged Cosby victims

The race for district attorney in Montgomery County just got ugly.

The race for district attorney in Montgomery County just got ugly.

Earlier this week, First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele put out an ad titled, "Tough," in which he accuses Bruce Castor of "not looking out for the [alleged] victims" of Bill Cosby and touts a 98 percent conviction rate of criminals.

Today, Castor fired back with his own ad, called "Trust," pointing out that the women who came forward against Cosby in recent years did so only after he left the DA's office and lost the power to levy criminal charges.

"He is still a prosecutor who chose to do nothing at all," Castor says.

"Despicable, desperation politics. Disgusting lies. Kevin Steele had the power to help victims of Cosby, but he sat on his hands."
