With Philadelphia courts opening up in a few hours, the countdown has begun to an expected wrongful termination suit from Alycia Lane against CBS 3. The station fired Lane yesterday afternoon and, as we reported in yesterday's column, she has enlisted attorney Paul Rosen, who issued a statement yesterday calling the termination unfair, and who is believed to have a lawsuit ready to file.

Rosen's appearance in the matter seemed to delay Lane's firing by a couple of days, but not prevent the action. CBS3 President Michael Colleran confirmed yesterday that the station told Lane of its intent to dismiss her on New Year's Day. After that meeting, Lane hired Rosen.

Here's Daily News columnist Jenice Armstrong's take about Alycia, titled "She could use some therapy."
