The 11-year-old Kensington girl who was raped on June 1 got to meet Beyonce at the superstar's Friday show at the Wachovia Center due to the efforts of several Philly Police officers and a veteran radio personality.
First District Police Officer Shamal Bryant is a friend of a cousin of the young girl and wanted to orchestrate a fun night out for the victim.
She enlisted the help of fellow First District Officer Jayson Smith and their friend Ijnanya Alsbrooks in getting Park Avenue Limo to take the girl and her mother to and from the concert, and Bryant called Colby Colb Tyner, formerly of 100.3 The Beat, who got tickets through the Beat and also spoke with Beyonce's management to get the girl and her mother into a meet-and-greet with the singer.
Bryant previously arranged for Sneaker Villa to donate shoes to the child and for her to have a shopping spree at the Gap on Walnut Street in Center City. Stylist Tamara McIntosh did the girl's hair in her home.
We hear the girl had a wonderful time at the concert.
By the way, Colby Colb, who left The Beat last year, is working as an internship coordinator at the Mastery Charter High School in Germantown. The school was known as Pickett when he was there 20 years ago.

That is awesome. I know this little girl will never forget meeting Beyonce, since so many young girls idolize her. I never knew Beyonce's voice was so beautiful until I saw her on the BET MJ tribute. She really is special, once you take away all that plastic glam they always shroud her in. Report My Abuse
That's a sick comment about Beyonce's throat, man. Try saying that to her husband the next time they're in town. Report My Abuse

That black plastic thing that's covered in goo. The one with buttons that are stuck. You'll find it in the crack of the sofa or behind the cat's litterbox in your kitchenette. Report My Abuse
