So far, not so good for Hamels

In case you couldn't find this on TV, Cole Hamels has surrendered five runs in three innings, all runs coming in the third. The carnage includes: an RBI single by pitcher Jason Marquis, a two-run homer by Garrett Atkins, and an RBI triple by Troy Tulowitzki. Don't shoot the messenger.

So far, not so good for Hamels

In case you couldn't find this on TV, Cole Hamels has surrendered five runs in three innings, all runs coming in the third.  The carnage includes: an RBI single by pitcher Jason Marquis, a two-run homer by Garrett Atkins, and an RBI triple by Troy Tulowitzki.  Don't shoot the messenger.

UPDATE:  J.A. Happ has entered the game with two out in the fourth.  Hamels allowed seven runs on 11 hits.  The fastball and changeup both were knocked around.  Fastball ranged from 84-89, and hit 90 once.  Changeup in high-'70s.
