Ruiz strains oblique, Marson on the way?

Carlos Ruiz left the game with a right oblique strain, and is listed as day-to-day. Charlie Manuel said that, worst-case scenario, Ruiz could miss 1-2 weeks, though he won't know definitively until tomorrow.

Catcher Lou Marson was a late scratch from the lineup at triple-A Lehigh Valley, reflecting standard baseball procedure when a major league player is injured. Marson could travel to Colorado as a precaution. Chris Coste will likely start tomorrow, and Jayson Werth and Eric Bruntlett are the team’s emergency catchers.
