Just as long as he stays in the minors...that guy is terrible. RollinsWasRight
I hope we get Derek Lowe. DOH!!!!!!!! fineedge1
I'll take un-newsworthy for 100 Alex. ematusko
It's things like this that make it so that we don't have the money to buy quality when the opportunity arises. Do it enough and then you realize many littles make a lot. Go figure. Doubtful
yes, doubtful, they wont be able to make a trade deadline trade because they gave this guy 50 grand... jim715
Comment removed.- There has been a trend the pat two years where the Phillies have been picking up Giant relievers. Check it out. Can you name 3?
We're reigning champs guys.... But we can't get talent... right.... Michael J
I think in that old commercial where Barry Bonds hits like a 600 foot HR that Walker is the pitcher on the mound. drbob1
almost as bad as Bob Walk for a pitcher's name...ugh PhillyTheKid
A 4 pitch...oopps read the stat wrong... a 4 ball specialist..........hopefully trade bait to bring a mediocre pitcher here!! barber211
Could be no worse that PigsPen last night. I saw it !! (11-3 loss) They entered in 5th after KK,the doe eyed starter, was once again out of sync. He may not be in Egypt, but is still in denial as his post game comments were positive about his dismal performance. mick314
Moose - Tim Worrell, Jack Taschner, Tyler Walker, Scott Eyre...all former Giants (although Eyre was most recently with the Cubs before the Phillies signed him...) RollinsWasRight
MichaelJ - how much more "talent" do you want??? In a time when 14 out 30 ML teams lowered their payroll budgets from a year ago, the average ML payroll is holding steady from a year ago, and the average ML salary has actually decreased from a year ago, the Phillies INCREASED their payroll a whopping 25%!!! What more can they do??? Or would you have preferred they trade guys like Rollins, Utley, or Howard in order to have payroll flexibility to add bigger name relief pitchers? They don't have endless reserves like the Yankees do. They don't have that much more money to play with, and they need to maintain some kind of reserve budget in the event they need to acquire a ML player mid-season should they need an injury replacement (can you say J.C. Romero? Tadahito Iguchi? Joe Blanton? All in-season acquisitions, necessities, and yes, the Phillies not only had to acquire those guys, but had to have some money to pay those guys). RollinsWasRight
Don't forget Steve Kline. Walker isn't a bad depth guy to have in your system. Captain Splendor
Hope Hamels pitches well. Phils need at least two out of three this weekend. James TL
