Phils assistant GM resigns

The Phillies Tuesday accepted the resignation of Chuck LaMar, assistant general manager of player development and scouring.

The Phillies Tuesday accepted the resignation of Chuck LaMar, assistant general manager of player development and scouring.

"We appreciate the contributions Chuck has made to the organization over the past four years," Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said. "We wish him the best as he pursues other opportunities."

LaMar joined the Phillies in October 2007 as the director of pro scouting. He became assistant GM of pklayer development & scouting in November 2008.
