Jimmy will be so excited! Well, all of them will be, I'm sure. It's an honor to meet any President of our country. Congrats to the Phils, you deserve it.

Hope Mitch and LA are also invited. They could share Schilling tales (he is a Sean Hannity-hole clone) with the Pres. Moyer should be front and center at the meeting because he, like our Pres, is the master of the change.

Any chance we can get a list of players that get rings? I'm not talking about obviously starters, but what about 2008 part time contributors like Adam Eaton, Kyle Kendrick, or even a lesser name like TJ Bohn who played some games when Werth was on the DL? We've been asking about this for a few months, and you'd win over a lot of phans if you could answer the question. Thanks!!

I will be glad when all this is over so they can get back to playing baseball. How many runners were left on base last night? Meeting the President is great but we are in the mix of a title defense that has started off slooooooowwwwwwwwly.

To phillygreg: That list could be very long. Some organizations give rings to EVERY player that appeared even in just one game. So conceivably - Andrew Carpenter - for one game appearence and two innings pitched, and R.J. Swindle for a few games of very ineffective mid-seaon work could get rings. Lots of non-players scouts, spring training camp director, minor league managers and coachs will also be getting rings. Razor Shines the manager of Clearwater, Florida State League team last year and now the Mets' third base coach is definitely due to receive a ring.

Phillygreg, I heard on the radio today that Kendrick will indeed get a ring, and Pat Burrell will be there. I THINK I heard Michael Barkann say 500 rings will be given out (not all at the ceremony)- front office and various hangers-on get them too. So I would THINK that includes Adom Eaton.

Trivia Question: The Phillies will be the first championship team to be received at The White House by President Obama, but who was the last championship team to be received by President Bush? Answer: The 2007-2008 NHL Champion, Detroit Red Wings.

Flash Gordon and Adam Eaton should man-up and say they dont deserve rings. Thanks but no thanks. I could care less about all the other bums and role players getting rings but those two dont deserve anything.

Will Obama bow in front of them as well? Will the media chastisy the players making millions in this time of financial stress on this country? Will the Phillies also receive an Ipod with the call of game 5 on it?

I am sure that the Tar Hills will also get to meet Obama since he made an early prediction that they would be champs!
