Phillies lefthanded pitcher Ryan Sasaki was suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball for an elevated Testosterone/Epitestosterone ratio.

Sasaki, 20, did not appear in any games in 2010 but MLB says he remains on the roster of the Gulf Coast League Phillies. In 2009, Sasaki had a 3.78 ERA in 11 games for the GCL Phillies.

He was a 13th round pick in the 2009 draft.

Sasaki is the fourth Phillies farmhand since Jan. 1 and sixth in the last calendar year to be suspended for a violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
