Obamarama redux

POSTED: Friday, May 8, 2009, 6:55 PM

The liberal elite media is reporting that the Phillies have rescheduled their White House visit for next Friday, May 15, from 11am to 1pm, when we will sip lattes and plot the destruction of capitalism.

Everybody in the Oval Office, except for the media, will be getting a tax increase next year.

The media is not liberal? It sure ain't elite anymore. They sure don't ask any questions to the Pres but to see how his hamburger was. Maybe sportswriters that wasted their time at Columbia can ask a simple question to the Pres. Where are all these trillions going and why is the White House getting into the banking and car industry as shareholders. Ask the Pres what was his batting Avg in running a company. Go for it! The white house media won't

lol gotta love conservative griping in a sports column. To be fair though, the Republican "Obama" Bobby Jindal's plan sounded like a winner to me, wutcha think Mike? Jimmy? < chirp chirp > Oh well.

the Inquirer didn't get rid of Zo. beat writing a team for MLB.com is an upgrade to beat writing a team for the Inky (even though the Inquirer is a very prestigious paper). Martino does a good job. Just I can't figure out whether he's a Mets/Yankees fan or not since he is from NY

I believe Martino is from Upstate New York, not NYC. We have nothing against Upstate New Yorkers.

    1. Martino, wtf? Last time I checked, you ARE a sports writer (or you play one on tv, or something). If you have aspirations of Wash Post or some sort of appearance on Meet the Press, please save it and don't make us read it. 2. Is this Phillies news? Martino, you haven't posted in a couple days (which, btw, is pretty much inexcusable, seeing as how you get PAID to do this, and have put up one sentence in the past 3 days). Honestly, your writing is more tabloid than sports. How about ONE freakin point about baseball, rather than the ridiculous grains of salt falling through the hourglass. Your column is a constant gossip rag, rather than any content about baseball. 3. Bush sucked. Obama rocks. Martino is a whiny New Yorker who fell into a spot where people read his column because the Phillies won the World Series last year, and the Eagles choked (again (when you people realize that Donovan McBadd is a choke artist??)). But we SHOULD be arguing over the rotation, or the bullpen, or J.A. Happ, or whether Coste belongs in the minors with Marson in the bigs, or anything baseball related.
