Right-hander Brad Lidge was activated from the 15-day disabled list, the Phillies announced today.
Lidge, 32, was originally placed on the DL on June 9 (retroactive to June 7) with a sprained right knee. He made two rehabilitation appearances, throwing 1.0 scoreless inning with two strikeouts on June 20 with double-A Reading and 1.0 scoreless inning with single-A Clearwater on June 23.
In 28 relief appearances this season, Lidge is 0-3 with 13 saves and a 7.27 ERA.
To make room for Lidge on the 25-man roster, left-hander Sergio Escalona was optioned to triple-A Lehigh Valley.
