I know this video has been on other blogs, but I've got to post it because I love Harry's call and Wheels' reaction. I love it because I'm guessing Wheels didn't want to shout over Harry, but he also had to celebrate. So he pumped his arms over and over and over again.

Loved it.

That's the most enthused for the Phils I've ever seen Wheels. I guess Jose Reyes wasn't around to slobber over. Still, I'd MUCH rather have him than "Mrs. Manny Ramirez", Joe Buck and Tim "Did you know Lidge hasn'e blown a save yet?" McCarver. Gotta love Harry K. I hear criticism about being old or forgetting names, etc... But the man is a HOF'er. There is no substitute for that voice. So glad I got tix to the Linc today. Anybody know if actual people will be there, or just a video of what's happening across the street?

According to everything I have read, it will be the whole team. They go to the Bank first and then over to the Linc. And this video is great!! Wheels looks like just a big kid as he celebrates!!

Buck had a good comment about Kalas... He said something to the effect of, "if I had that voice, I'd talk to myself all the time just so I could hear it", or something like that.

I think I still hear Buck and McCarver talking about David Price. "David Price is warming up in the bullpen." "I would think Maddon would bring David Price in here." "David Price, the Rays rookie phenom, is warming in the bullpen." "David Price begind to warm up, IN EARNEST, in the bullpen." "I'm surprised Maddon is sticking with Howell here and not bringing in David Price." "David Price will be a tremendous starter for the Rays next year." "They'll likely bring in David Price to deal with Utley and Howard." "Man, we just love David Price."

I'll say this abotu Wheels... he was professional all the way, not wanting to go down in history as the guy who shouted over Harry's World Championship call!

About Matt Gelb and Bob Brookover

Bob Brookover and Matt Gelb team up for their third straight season covering the Phillies for the Inquirer and philly.com.

This is Brookover’s second stint writing about the Phillies, having joined the coverage team after seven years as an Eagles beat writer. Brookover was hired by The Inquirer in 2000 as the Phillies beat writer after spending 13 years writing about the team for two suburban newspapers. While on the Eagles beat, Brookover, who had covered just two winning Phillies teams in 15 seasons, saw the Phillies move into a cash-cow new ballpark and begin playing a brand of the game he found unrecognizable. Gelb is in his third season covering the Phillies. He was hired by The Inquirer in August 2009 after graduating from Syracuse University. He has also covered baseball at The Star-Ledger and Cape Cod Times. Born and raised in Bucks County, he attended Central Bucks High School West. Follow him on Twitter here.
