TORONTO -- After throwing a bullpen session without problem Sunday morning, Cole Hamels has been deemed ready to start Tuesday by pitching coach Rich Dubee.

Hamels has a bruised right (non-pitching) hand suffered last Thursday against Boston. Hamels was removed from that game after four innings because Dubee was concerned by Hamels' inability to defend himself on any other combackers hit to him.

During the bullpen session Sunday, Hamels caught every throw back to him.

With 67 RBIs, does Ryan Howard deserve an all-star spot?

With an off day Thursday, the Phillies can skip Vance Worley's spot in the rotation to line up Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels to pitch in the final weekend of the first half against the Braves. Dubee said that scenario is likely.

The matchups for the Marlins series are:

Monday -- RHP Vance Worley (3-1, 2.57) vs. RHP Ricky Nolasco (5-4, 4.08)
Tuesday -- LHP Cole Hamels (9-4, 2.41) vs. RHP Chris Volstad (4-7, 5.01)
Wednesday -- RHP Kyle Kendrick (4-4, 3.81) vs. RHP Anibal Sanchez (6-2, 3.30)
