Halladay returns; Lee scheduled for bullpen
Matt Gelb, Inquirer Staff Writer
WASHINGTON — Two brief updates on a few $20 million arms:
Hours before Friday's first pitch, Roy Halladay walked to left field at Nationals Park. He was absent Thursday, one day after a disastrous eight-run outing, to tend to a personal matter.
He was back at work Friday and threw a bullpen session without problem. Halladay will start Monday, as expected, against the Mets. Halladay's one-day leave was not injury related. He informed the team a day before his start he would need to leave Thursday.
Cliff Lee will throw another bullpen session Saturday, pitching coach Rich Dubee said. If all goes well, he could slide back into the rotation Wednesday.

Will we ever know what this personal issue is? Cheesedog- Probably not. That's why it's personal!!

Roy told me but I'm sworn to secrecy. AvoidSundanceVacations
I don't think it's anyone's business so long as it isn't related to baseball. phineas
The Phillies bullpen is a bigger problem than Halladay's personal issue. The phillies decided they would pitch Schwimer until he lost the game. He came thru in the 11th. eaglesman1- Well, for once you can't blame Charlie for pitching management. You could see that he was falling part in the 11th. verve
