CLEARWATER, Fla. — It's Roy Halladay day. Well, it's the first of many this spring.

Halladay makes his anticipated Grapefruit League debut Sunday in Lakeland, Fla., against the Detroit Tigers. It was last spring when Halladay first showed signs of distress and ultimately a bad back messed with his mechanics and led to a strained muscle in his shoulder.

There may be no player more closely watched this spring in all of baseball than Halladay, the former Cy Young winner and dominant arm.

Here is your daily skinny on the day's Grapefruit League action...

In Sunday's Inquirer: Chase Utley played a Grapefruit League game and nothing else mattered. ... Bob Brookover tackles the whole "leadership" issue, using Cole Hamels as an example. ... Michael Schwimer was "surprised" to be traded, but this was a move months in the making.

Monday: Tigers at Phillies (Smyly vs. Lee) in Clearwater, at 1:05 p.m.
