It is the dead period of camp. The games are happening but it's too early to make judgments. There is not much news from the Phillies clubhouse, which the team would consider a very good thing.

CLEARWATER, Fla. — The Grapefruit League schedule is 10 games old and we are barely into March. Only 23 (!) spring exhibition games remain.

So it is the dead period of camp. The games are happening but it's too early to make judgments. There is not much news from the Phillies clubhouse, which the team would consider a very good thing.

Chase Utley makes his longest trip of the spring to date. Ryan Howard plays in his 10th game in 10 days. Charlie Manuel fields a regular lineup.
