CLEARWATER, Fla. — The start of Grapefruit League play has arrived, and even Lee Elia is here. The former Phillies manager will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Bright House Field.

CLEARWATER, Fla. — The start of Grapefruit League play has arrived, and even Lee Elia is here. The former Phillies manager will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Bright House Field.

Cole Hamels will throw the next pitch, which is significant for a number of reasons. Hamels is in line to make his first-ever opening day start come April 1. Saturday marks the first act under his record six-year, $144 million deal.
