SEATTLE -- Charlie Manuel's first designated hitter of the season is Ben Francisco against the righty rookie Michael Pineda.

Instead of using Raul Ibanez, who is rated the worst defensive outfielder in baseball by numerous metrics, or lefty Ross Gload, Manuel will turn to Francisco.

The full Phillies lineup:

1. Jimmy Rollins 6
2. Shane Victorino 8
3. Chase Utley 4
4. Ryan Howard 3
5. Placido Polanco 5
6. Raul Ibanez 7
7. Ben Francisco 0
8. Domonic Brown 9
9. Carlos Ruiz 2

The Mariners' lineup features Dustin Ackley for the first time, and that's kind of a big deal around these parts. Ackley was the second overall pick in the 2009 draft behind Stephen Strasburg. Ackley was OPSing .908 at triple-A Tacoma with nine home runs. He'll make his major-league debut tonight.

Seattle (35-34):

1. Ichiro 9
2. Brendan Ryan 6
3. Adam Kennedy 0
4. Justin Smoak 3
5. Carlos Peguero 7
6. Miguel Olivo 2
7. Dustin Ackley 4
8. Chone Figgins 5
9. Franklin Gutierrez 8
