MIAMI — It was pointed out to Charlie Manuel that, yes, the Phillies stand a mere 10 games back of the second wild card berth in the National League.

"We're still breathing," Manuel said.

Then again, take a gander at his Wednesday lineup, and reality hits you like a cold shower:

1. Jimmy Rollins 6
2. Kevin Frandsen 5
3. Chase Utley 4
4. Ty Wigginton 3
5. Hector Luna 7
6. Domonic Brown 9
7. John Mayberry Jr. 8
8. Erik Kratz 2
9. Roy Halladay 1

Ryan Howard has a day off after playing 11 straight. Luna has his second start of the season in left field. Wigginton makes his first start since Aug. 2.

Of course, the Marlins may be worse. Shut out in their last three games, they have not scored a run since Saturday. Now they face Halladay.
