MIAMI — Jose Fernandez is 20 years old. His highest level of experience before 2013 was at single A, in the Florida State League. In his major-league debut, he fanned eight Mets in five innings.

He makes his first home start Saturday.

Miami is again without slugger Giancarlo Stanton, who could also miss Sunday's series finale.
