Florida Senators Get Owned!

Oh, how humiliating for these Florida Senators ...

Just got this press release:

U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Arlen Specter (R-PA) will settle their friendly wager with Senators Mel Martinez (R-FL) and Bill Nelson (D-FL) placed over the 2008 World Series between the winning Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday, November 20th at 11:00 a.m. The Florida Senators will deliver on their end of the bet with a box of citrus, Cuban pastries, Ted Peters Famous Smoked Fish and copies of the Columbia Restaurant Spanish Cookbook.

I wonder what Casey and Specter were prepared to offer had the Phillies lost? I'm guessing cheesesteaks and Tastykakes.

Yawn.
