Eaton Earns A Job?

It might take an injury or something drastic for Adam Eaton not to be in the Phillies' rotation come Opening Day. He allowed four hits and one run in 5 1/3 innings in a 3-2 victory today over the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers.

Eaton has allowed one run in 8 1/3 innings in his last two Grapefruit League starts.

"It's very encouraging," Charlie Manuel said. "When he throws like that, it tells me he can do it."

Has he wrapped up that fifth spot in the rotation?

"When you pitch like that, what the hell?" Manuel said. "He's had it all along, really. I haven't seen anybody take it away from him. That's how I see it."
