Day off for Werth, Ruiz

It's a day game after a night game and that gives Charlie Manuel a chance to put two more of his bench players in the starting lineup. Ross Gload gets the start in right for Jayson Werth. Paul Hoover will catch to give Carlos Ruiz a breather.

In case you were wondering, the Phillies will send Cole Hamels, Kyle Kendrick and Roy Halladay up against the Boston Red Sox this weekend to kick off Interleague play. Halladay was scheduled to oppose struggling Boston ace Josh Beckett but he was placed on the disabled list with a bad back. Instead, Halladay will face knuckleballer Tim Wakefield.
