Blackley Headed to Lehigh Valley

Lefthander Travis Blackley, a Rule 5 pick, cleared waivers and has been outrighted to triple-A Lehigh Valley. He accepted assignment.

Blackley went 0-1 with a 7.27 ERA in five appearances this spring.

For anybody who is interested, Bill James will be on 60 Minutes this Sunday at 7 p.m. Eastern.

If there is a baseball God, he will have Adam Eaton drive him there. Funny, now that he has the 5 spot sewed up, he reverts back to the same old, 5 + E.R.A. pitcher he was last year. What a load.

LOL!, jimmymack! And I thought the same thing about Eaton after seeing today's box scores. OUCH! Which I guess is an under statement. At least Blakely *accepted assignment*, and he's not going back to SF. Maybe he can be a decent addition when Eaton gets pulled again.

Amen...BTW, welcome back, how was spring training? We missed each other by a few days.

Spring Training was great! Unfortunately, one of our games was called in the 4th for rain, but we had a blast anyway. Talked to Scott Franzke and Michael Barkan (from ComCast) in the airport on our way home. They were both on our flight. Definitely going back next year. And making sure we're there for St. Patty's Day! LOL!
