Jesse Biddle, the Phillies' 2010 first-round pick out of Germantown Friends School, has been named to the Florida State League All-Star team.

Biddle, in his third professional season, is 2-2 with a 2.86 ERA in 10 starts for single-A Clearwater. Since starting 0-2 with a 5.71 ERA in four April starts, he has gone 2-0 with a 1.36 ERA in his last six outings for the Threshers.

Biddle, 21, allowed just 22 hits and struck out 32 batters in 33 innings last month and is a strong candidate to be the Phillies' minor-league pitcher of the month for May.

Also at Clearwater, outfielder Zach Collier has returned from a 50-game suspension after testing positive for amphetamine use late last season. Collier, the 34th overall selection in 2008, had six hits, including two doubles, in his first 14 at-bats with the Threshers.
