A classic pitching matchup highlights the beginning of this weekend series between the Phillies and visiting Washington Nationals.

Cliff Lee (3-2, 3.29) will face Stephen Strasburg (2-2, 4.24) in tonight’s opener. The Phillies have had two days off following Wednesday’s rainout with the New York Mets and Thursday’s off-day.

The Phillies (13-13) entered Friday tied for fourth in the NL East, but it’s the only division in baseball in which every team was .500 or better.

The Phillies April record of 13-13 marked the first tiem they were .500 or better in the first month since 2011 when they went 18-8.
