Freddy Galvis, who made his first appearance when he replaced Cody Asche at third base in the sixth inning of Friday’s 6-3 win over the Miami Marlins, will get his first start at third in tonight’s game. Asche is batting .233.

The Phillies are 4-6 after snapping a four-game losing streak on Friday.

Galvis rejoined team on Friday after being sidelined at the end of spring training by a MRSA infection.

In Friday’s win, Galvis walked and flew out to right.

In addition, Tony Gwynn Jr. will earn his second straight start in place of Ben Revere. On Friday Revere said he had a sore rib, but didn’t expect to be out long. In fact he pinch hit on Friday, grounding out to short.

This will also be the first start for Phillies righthander Jonathan Pettibone, who was sidelined with shoulder soreness early in spring training. Pettibone last pitched on April 6 for Lehigh Valley when he threw 86 pitches and allowed three earned run in five innings against Pawtucket.

Manager Ryne Sandberg said on Friday that there will be no pitching limits on Pettibone.

Miami (5-6) will turn to hard-throwing righthander Nate Eovaldi (1-1, 3.46) in an attempt to snap its five-game losing streak.

To make room for Pettibone on the 25-man roster, RHP Brad Lincoln has been outrighted to Lehigh Valley.
