Colorado Rockies manager Clint Hurdle has named a replacement for injured Cubs outfielder Alfonso Soriano on the National League all-star roster:

Mets third baseman David Wright.

So for the first time since 1948, a player who leads his league in home runs and RBIs will not make the all-star team. That distinction goes to Ryan Howard. And the player with the highest OPS amongst outfielders -- Pat Burrell -- also did not make the team.
