Game 98: Hamels looks to continue the momentum

NEW YORK -- Cole Hamels takes the mound at Citi Field on his best streak of the season. Hamels (4-11, 4.05) faces rookie Zack Wheeler (3-1, 3.54) in today’s 1:10 p.m. game with the New York Mets.

In his last three starts covering 23 innings, Hamels is 2-0 with a 1.57 ERA. He has struck out 19 and walked just one.

The Phillies are now 49-48 and are over the .500 mark since they were 31-30 on June 6.

The Phillies are facing a Mets team that has struggled at Citi Field. After losing 13-8 on Friday to the Phillies, the Mets are now 17-28 at home.
