Game 71; Welcoming the Nationals

The Phillies and Washington Nationals have only played each other three times this season, which means there are 16 games left between these two N. L. East rivals.

The Nationals won two of three on Memorial Day weekend in Washington. In the understatement of the year, both teams have been disappointing, with Washington even more so than the Phillies. While the Phillies are 33-37, Washington, a trendy pick to represent the N.L. in the World Series, is just 34-34.

The Nationals offense has been anemic and they are without Bryce Harper, on the disabled list with a knee injury.

Phillies lefthander John Lannan (0-1, 6.14) makes his first start since April 17 after coming off the disabled list with a knee injury. He will be opposed by Dan Haren (4-8, 5.70).

Here is the Phillies lineup.

1.Ben Revere, CF

2. Michael Young, 3B

3. Jimmy Rollins, SS

4. Ryan Howard, 1B

5. Domonic Brown, LF

6. Delmon Young RF

7. Kevin Frandsen, 2B

8. Humberto Quintero, C

9. John Lannan, P
