Brown boosted by big month

Domonic Brown is coming off his best month as a professional. He batted .303 with 12 home runs and 25 RBIs in May. Brown says he is always confident but says this past month gave him an extra boost.

“It definitely gives me more confidence and I am feeling good at the plate,” Brown said after Saturday’s 4-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at Citizens Bank Park.

In that game he batted third in the lineup for the first time during his Phillies career

“It is not anything different, just a couple of spot up in the lineup,” he said. “It feels good to be recognized as one of the great hitters on the team and I will try to continue doing what I am doing and hope to keep improving every day.”

Brown said he hit third a lot in the minors so he is used to it.
“It feels good and I feel comfortable and hopefully I can do some things here and help us get to the playoffs.”
