It’s a great pitching matchup when Phillies lefthander Cole Hamels faces James Shields in the final of a weekend set with the Kansas City Royals at Citizens Bank Park.

It’s a great pitching matchup when Phillies lefthander Cole Hamels faces James Shields in the final of a weekend set with the Kansas City Royals at Citizens Bank Park.

Hamels is looking to bounce back from the opening day 7-5 loss in Atlanta. Shields suffered a 1-0 opening day defeat to the Chicago White Sox.

The Phillies (2-3) will look to build on the momentum of Saturday’s 4-3 comeback win over the Royals.
