Jimmy Rollins played in an extended spring training game today in Clearwater, Fla. He went 4 for 4.

Rollins, who is on the DL with a sprained left ankle, is scheduled to play in another extended spring game tomorrow. Phillies assistant general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said he isn't sure if Rollins will remain in Florida to play another spring game(s) after that, or play in an official rehab game somewhere.

Rollins reportedly felt fine and ran sprints afterward.

I'm not a betting man, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Rollins back by this weekend's series in San Francisco. Rollins is from Oakland and he always has a big turnout there.

Kris Benson is throwing long toss again, but there is no timetable for his return to the mound. Scott Mathieson is deciding if he needs another right elbow surgery, which obviously isn't good.
