No Polanco; Lidge says he's better
Matt Gelb, Inquirer Staff Writer
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Phillies will play two on this St. Patrick's Day and Placido Polanco will not be in either in them.
Polanco hyperextended his left elbow Tuesday and was termed day-to-day by the Phillies. Today is not the day, apparently.
As for Brad Lidge, he played catch Wednesday without any reported problems. This morning he said he was feeling better but was unsure if he was throwing either today or Friday. He also was unsure if the throwing would take place off a mound.

Backup catcher Brian Schneider has left the team for personal reasons. He will be away indefinitely.

Holy cow, is that a B game or a Z game? They should have to have quotes around "Phillies" on their jersies. stanbro
