This is a bizarre move. Wigginton has great numbers vs. Wolf, but Polanco has even better numbers. Howards has horrendous numbers, as you might expect in a lefty-lefty matchup. Why not start Wigginton at 1B?

Bring up Cody Asche and trade Polly!

Polly is finished. Can still glove with the best of them, but he cannot hit anymore. I'd rather take my chances with Wigginton making an error but making up for it with a 2 run homer.

Wiggs has no business at third. Charlie and Mack both said he wouldn't play anymore third. Another landmine waiting to explode.

Stiff back for Polanco......I've never quite seen a guys body fail him so quickly as Polly's has the last 3 years. granted some of it was bad luck getting hit with pitches but seems as though everytime he dives for a ball or throws a ball or slides or swings, he tweaks or tears something. Welcome to the non PED age. I thought for years that he was juicing with Fernando Tatis (guilty) and MMagwire (guilty) and many other Cardinals. I guess the non HGH Polly body just can't hold up to the rigors of everyday play. This is what will happen with nearly all 35-38 yo players out of the game in another 2-3 years.

Wigginton and Mayberry together? Are they drive to drive Halladay into the Nut House?

Halladay goin to get blasted tonight, i dont think hes ready yet and rushed coming back. Agree with polanco posts, great third baseman, but he just isnt getting it done at the plate like he use too. Mark1, i think Polanco was juicing or still is cause look at the size of his head when he has a helmet on, its like his dome is bulging out of it. I never saw that before on anyone else, kinda sick looking!
