The Phillies wanted Jayson Werth back in time to face Jo Jo Reyes, and that's exactly what has happened. The outfielder was activated from the DL today, and could be in the line-up tonight against Reyes, against whom he went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI a couple of weeks ago.

The Phillies outrighted Chris Snelling with the hope of sending him back to Lehigh Valley. They can't simply send him back to the minors, because he is out of options. He can either accept his assignment to the minors or become a free agent.
