Who will lead the Phillies in wins this season?

Maybe those of you who had your hearts and wallets broken by Jacoby Jones two-point conversion catch that sent last night's game to overtime (Texans were +3, ended up losing by six on an interception return for a touchdown), can roll your losses into a futures bet on the Phillies.

It won't pay as much as it would have before last night.

After news of the Cliff Lee deal broke, the Phillies became 7/2 favorites to win the 2011 World Series, according to the sports book at Bodog.com.

They opened the offseason at 6/1, trailing the Yankees, who were at 4/1.

love the phillies, but i'm taking the under. 97 is a lot of wins

they won 97 this year without Lee and without the lineup hitting most of the year. Unless they get a rash of injuries, they should win 100 or more easily.

Hamels leads the team in wins. If he is 4th in the rotation he'll be facing some donkey every night and rack up the wins. Halladay will be up against the ace on most nights.

Lee is the complete opposite of Werth. Lee wants to win. Werth wants the jack.

61 seems a little low. The big four from the 1993 Braves, the first year of Maddux, combined for 75.

How many times were the Phillies shut out last season? It's tough to win when the Phillies offense can't score runs. They needs some bats, too.

Lidge and Co. better be up to saving a bunch of close games otherwise Doc and Co. will kill someone. I think it's reasonable to anticipate another season of inconsistent offense and therefore close games. As is usual, SP wins will largely be dependent on how much the 'pen steps up.
