Utley, Rollins not in line-up for Game 1

It looks like the Phillies reunion tour will kick off tonight against Anibal Sanchez. Neither Jimmy Rollins nor Chase Utley are in the line-up for the day game of this day/night doubleheader, which starts at 2:35 p.m. Manuel said yesterday that there is a "good chance" that Utley starts one of the two games. And Rollins was likely to get one of the games off since he is coming off a strained groin.

Utley was hitting in the batting cages today, so it seems likely that he'll be in the lineup for Game 2. The only question might be whether Placido Polanco joins him. Polanco is in the lineup for Game 1, and he is battling a sports hernia, so Manuel might not want to play him two games in one day. In which case, the Phillies would have to wait to field their full lineup until at least tomorrow, when they start a three-game series against the Cubs.

Anyway, here is the lineup for Game 1:

  1. Shane Victorino CF
  2. Placido Polanco 3B
  3. Hunter Pence RF
  4. Ryan Howard 1B
  5. Raul Ibanez LF
  6. Pete Orr 2B
  7. Brian Schneider C
  8. Michael Martinez 3B
  9. Kyle Kendrick RHP
