The answers to all your questions. . .or at least one of them

A quick note before I pack up for the night. . .
I'm sure you are wondering why Raul Ibanez wasn't in the game after the rain delay. After all, he was 2-for-3 with a run scored, one night after hitting two home runs against the Marlins. Well, manager Charlie Manuel said before the game that he would likely have to find ways to get Ibanez rest in the immediate future, particularly in the field, where his groin is more prone to flare. So with a 4-1 lead and a wet field, Manuel decided to send in John Mayberry Jr.
"I'm supposed to be watching his groin," Manuel said.
It ended up being a moot point, as Chase Utley drove in Jimmy Rollins for the go-ahead run in the 12th and Jayson Werth added what would prove to be a crucial insurance run with an RBI.
The Phillies have now won for the 11th time in 12 games and have a six-game lead over the Marlins in the National League East. It is their biggest lead since June 3, 2001.
That's all for now.
How'd you spend your rain delay?
The Closer, because he is a 1 inning specialist, is supposed to go right after hitters with everything he's got, get 2 strikes and then close the deal with what he feels is his best pitch. Our closer gets two outs just as described, then for some reason decides to finesse the next hitter and ends up getting in trouble. Where did that come from? I've just read that Dubee called a meeting and told them that is not what he wants. So you have to question the closers mind set here. We the fans should not let him off the hook because this is the job he was hired to do and get paid well. Wally 24
