Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz is out of the lineup again today against Tampa Bay because of flu symptoms. Brian Schneider will start in his place.

Ruiz still sidelined; Victorino returns

Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz is out of the lineup again today against Tampa Bay because of flu symptoms. Brian Schneider will start in his place.

As we told you in today's Daily News, manager Charlie Manuel is concerned that Ruiz has not gotten enough at-bats this spring. His 17 at-bats are about half of the other Phillies' regulars. This is the second time Ruiz has missed time with an illness.

Shane Victorino has been out of the lineup for the last two days with flu symptoms, but returns today. He took seven at-bats in a minor league game yesterday but did not play the field.

Here is the lineup against the Rays:

Rollins, SS

Polanco, 3B

Utley, 2B

Howard, 1B

Werth, RF

Victorino, CF

Dobbs, LF

Schneider, C

Blanton, P

Joe Blanton, Chad Durbin and Jose Contreras are scheduled to pitch for the Phillies. Matt Garza starts for te Rays.
