Murph: no stats on this comment - 'Phils playing out the string'? Seems like six losses in a row, 0 for 36 by 3 frontline players, numerous errors, and a ballooning ERA should just about do it.

24sDad is right...If it was all backups or minor league pitchers blowing saves, that would be one thing...Shane Victorino's average has dropped 32 points in 5 weeks, Utley has warning track power, and Jimmy Rollins has turned into a fungo hitting machine...We're better than this!

It's all mental. There just was too much celebrating on Saturday night! The team should have held off on the champagne, etc. and kept their eyes on the prize: winning in the playoffs. Let's just hope that they didn't jinx themselves.

One thing this week has exposed is the weakness of their bench. Orr, Bawker, Francisco, Gload and Schneider will not strike fear in the heart of any pitcher. Talk about a five man strikeout machine...

Each time you've posted this, you conveniently leave out Mayberry...i guess he would weaken your argument.

This has the same look as last season. Get hot in mid August and early September, cool off in late September and stink it up in the playoffs. From day one, this season has been about the playoffs and World Series. Can Charlie wake these guys up in time? Not looking good at this point. Do they want to wake up? If they don't win these last two series, turn out the lights, the party is OVER.

a little over a month from now when the Phillies are winning the world series, I can look back and laugh at all of you front running Phillies fans and your constanting whining and laugh at you for not having faith in this team.

At least the city will be less congested for real fans at the parade...

Usually, when a team has a players-only-meeting (like the did yesterday), it comes out firing. Well, so much for that.

Lonewolf, you hypocrite. All season you have been Mr. negative after every loss and sometimes after a win. You are the one to be laughed at...

All you whining band wagon front runners are unbelievable. You cry like woman at ANY sign of defeat and then you multiply it a hundred times over. The Phils win the series with PITCHING just like SF last year. Any hitting will be a bonus. Grow a set you whiners and support your team

Glad to hear about a team meeting finally. Hopefully Charlie got to them about winning these next two series. Wouldn 't you know there would be another rain delay! These guys have NO luck at all! Go Phillies
