Why this rotation? If you don't use Halladay in the All Star game, he would go on Thursday with normal rest and then follow with Hamels. It should be Halladay, Hamels, Moyer and then Blanton who has been our worst pitcher over the last month. Charlie, you got this one wrong.

Fat Joe has gotta take a seat for Happ, he's killing us right now. God knows what you do with his contract but gotta start your best 5.

Hey dragoon, don't be a buffoon. Lee isn't happening. You're probably the kind of person who says they are still in a relationship even though it ended 3 years earler. Lee is gone. Seek counseling. Move past it and come into what today holds. Embrace today and leave the past behind.

Dragoon6...with football season coming up I'm going to break this to you as gently as possible...McNabb's been traded...now commence stomping your fit and throwing your toys. ...as if Rueben had a say in keeping Lee around.

Lee gave up 6 earned in 5 innings against the rough, tough Baltimore Orioles last night. It's time to let the Lee thing go, folks. Or don't you know anything else to talk about?

Lost in all the Lee nonsense is a good point that matty made--why is Halladay being held until Sunday?

TOOLS - (aka all of you who've written in so far) this is the rotation b/c Doc will DEFINITELY be pitching on Tuesday night. Thanks to MLB "this one counts," remember?? If you think fat Charlie is gonna manage the NL w/o using Halladay then you haven't been following this team closely at all. The first 6 innings on Tuesday night will go to some combo of Jimenez/Doc/Johnson and that's why Doc won't pitch again until Sunday. For the genius who wants to replace Blanton with Happ I suggest he go back and look at Happ's stats in AAA...

Many fans won't get over the Lee trade because it appears to be a terrible trade; the Phils gave up a #1 starter, and it doesn't appear they got much in return. A lot of people think having both Lee and Halladay last October would have given the Phils a 2nd straight title, which is huge since they have only 2 in their 100+ year history. Montgomery and friends allowed a very bad trade to happen; if Monty and Amaro are going to take credit for 2008, they have to take blame for the bad Lee trade. Period.

76erfn nailed it. The "get over it" crowd is entitled to want to move on but it's tough to ignore how unnecessary and ridiculous the Lee deal was. Moving on from it and forgetting it doesn't erase it. Repeating as NL pennant winners and mounting a serious charge against the Yanks in October would have been much more feasible with Halladay and Lee in the rotation together. The Phils window to compete at the highest level in the league won't be open forever. We just had to pay Lee his $9MM. Or, if not, shop him around the league for a few days at least and see if we could get what he was worth. Amaro chose to ship him out immediately upon signing Halladay so he could falsely sell it as a 3-team deal. It was never a 3-team deal. It was simply and deceptively designed to fool the fans.
