As the final week of spring training begins, the Phillies have trimmed their roster to 31 players in camp.

As the final week of spring training begins, the Phillies have trimmed their roster to 31 players in camp.

Outfielder John Mayberry Jr. was optioned to the minor league.

Catcher Dane Sardinha and infieler Ozzie Chavez were sent to minor league camp.

Here is today's lineup vs. Pittsburgh:

Rollins (SS)

Polanco (3B)

Utley (2B)

Howard (1B)

Werth (RF)

Victorino (CF)

Francisco (LF)

Ruiz (C)

Blanton (P).

    Maybe they could not buy that HD scoreboard Monty was talking about and use the money to keep Werth. Let Brown replace Ibanez who could bring a nice piece of the puzzle at the deadline.

    Ben Francisco is Jerry Martin lite. He's not Ibanez replacement. They need to resign Werth and suckup Ibanez salary for year 3 of his contract, then replace him with Brown.

    It took this long for Sardinha to get sent down? Why is he still on the team? The guy was out drinking til 8am the night before(morning of) spring training opened and got busted for DUI.
