Phillies minor league pitcher San Lazaro Solano has been suspended for 50 games by Major League Baseball for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

Phillies minor league pitcher San Lazaro Solano has been suspended for 50 games by Major League Baseball for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

Solano, 20, a member of the Phillies’ Dominican Summer League team, tested positive for Boldenone. His suspension will begin at the start of the season.

He was 4-3 with a 2.67 earned average in 12 games, including eight starts.

Baseball also suspended Oakland minor league pitcher Joselito Adames, who is currently on the Athletics’ s Arizona League (Rookie) team, for 50 games. He tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.
