Phillies catch a break - er, tear

Chipper Jones was 3-for-6 with a home run and two RBI in the first two games of this series, but the major league's top hitter will miss today's game with a small tear in his hamstring. Jones, whose two-run home run last night were the Braves' only runs, is hitting .420, the highest batting average through June 7 since Paul o'Neil was hitting .431 for the Yankees on June 7, 1994.
