Phillies aware of problems with Comcast broadcast

POSTED: Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 9:13 PM

The game looks crystal clear to me. Then again, I'm watching it in person. Those of you watching on TV, however, may be having some frustrating trouble seeing the action. Comcast is having some system-wide problems with its channel.

"Unfortunately, Comcast is having some system-wide problems, something beyond the clubs control," Phillies manager of broadcasting Rob Brooks said. "We're aware of it and people are working hard to get the game back on the air."

if it wasn't Philly, we'd have another alternative, like DirecTV. Comcast sucks.

I get the game via Verizon Fios, and its ok, but all road games are a little blurry on my HDtv. Why doesnt comcast air road games in hi-def too??There is also a lot of times when the audio goes out for a few seconds. Further more..someone needs to tell T-Mac to think de-caf..Good guy, or sure knows a lot about the game.but a little too hyper. Could be worse, games could be covered by Fox...they just plain suck

No problem on FiOS in S. Jersey last night. Audio cuts out every now and then, but otherwise fine. Comcast needs to release the signal to other companies, though. The loopholes they have found/created are unfair and only hurt the FANS of the teams!

A shout out to ctfwest. I'm with you. Haven't let pirate Comcast in my pocket since 1999. Watch Phils when they're on WPSG and the relative rarity makes the games I do see sweeter.

The HD Phillies games broadcast into my home via Verizon FIOS are flawless. Cheaper than Comcast, too!

Out here in Gettysburg Comcast won't even put the games on their system. We've even offered to pay for a higher tier and they keep offering excuse after excuse for not giving us some option for televised games. They need to be regulated!

COMCAST...COMMUNIST CAST IS MORE LIKE IT. I REMEMBER WHEN GAMES WERE ON UHF CHANNELS FOR FREE. AND WE LIKED IT! WHERE'S WHITEY WHEN YA NEED HIM!

tdoc: Comcast has to rely on other stadium's equipment for road games. There was an article on this a few months ago, because I noticed that the road games aren't always in HD. Seems not every stadium has upgraded yet.

If it were a FOX broadcast, it would be worse. They spent 25 minutes talking about the Yankees during a Phillies broadcast last week ... get real!
