Astros pitcher Roy Oswalt was non-committal when asked today about whether he would waive his no-trade clause to come to the Phillies. He had asked the team in May to try to consider sending him to a contender.

The Phillies and Astros are reportedly in trade talks that could bring Oswalt to the Phillies. The deal could potentially be a three-way trade and involve the Tampa Bay Rays, who could acquire Jayson Werth.

"It'd have to work for both of us," Oswalt said of coming to the Phillies, according to the Houston Chronicle. "If it doesn't work for both of us, no, but if it does, maybe. I'll just wait until the [Astros] come up to me."

Making it work likely would involve the Phillies, or another team looking to acquire Oswalt, being willing to pick up his $16 million option for 2012. Oswalt is under contract for $16 million for next season.

Oswalt said he has yet to be approached by the Astros.

"I don't know anything about it," Oswalt said. "Saw it on TV this morning ... Until (the Astros) come up to me, there's really nothing I can do."

More to come ...
