With the end of one season, the looking ahead to the next begins quickly.
If the oddsmakers are right, we are looking at a rematch of the 2009 World Series with the Phillies and the Yankees.
According to Bodog.com, the odds of the Yankees winning the World Series in 2001 are 4-1, with the Phillies as the second choice at 6-1.
According to Glantz/Culver, the Phillies are the 4-1 choice to win it all, with the Yankees at 9-2.

If I was a bettin' dude, I'd slap a few bucks on the Brewers and Astros just for kicks. If the BrewCrew could pick up some pitching, they would absolutely contend... they remind me of the Phils of a few years back. And if I was nutso crazy insane, I'd be tempted to drop a G on the lovable Orioles too. Just sayin.- Murph must be writing while on vacation.
