I am very excited to see the Phillies are a fav to win the 2001 WS. Just kidding but I do like their chances next season with this staff! stanbro
not to nitpick, but it's the rematch of 2009. Nice to see the Phillies have a shot. Now if only their offense will cooperate. palmyra21
Can they tell us who's going to be playing RF too? celtic_13
And who can ever forget the Phillies beating the Yankees to clinch the 2008 championship? everydayguy
2008 world series rematch? huh? thought we beat the rays then. 2009 we played yanks...good job murphy KMOORE1333- No if they keep the same hitting philosophy/manager with all those LH hitters in the lineup. EL Zorro
without jayson werth they have no one to hit behid Ryan Howard and that means he gets no pitches and his RBI's will be way down....so if they go cheap (see Dave M) we will not get back to the series or the championship nuggett
I'd lay down every cent I have that the Yankees will lose to the Diamondbacks in the 2001 WS... djw26
great post djw26 knicks84- If I was a bettin' dude, I'd slap a few bucks on the Brewers and Astros just for kicks. If the BrewCrew could pick up some pitching, they would absolutely contend... they remind me of the Phils of a few years back. And if I was nutso crazy insane, I'd be tempted to drop a G on the lovable Orioles too. Just sayin.
Murph must be writing while on vacation. There are more errors here than PA absentee ballots. Grazman

why do they play the games if they already know the results of the season.. lets have the parade next week RobFisher
When the playoffs got underway, the Phillies were also overwhelming favorites to win the World Series this season, too. PhightinPhil
Thank God because I remember the 2001 team being pretty average Haywood Jablomi
