Should Brett Myers be on the roster?
Yes
No

After being left off the roster for the National League Championship Series, reliever Brett Myers is back on the roster for the World Series, the Phillies announced.

Miguel Cairo has been left off the roster after being added for the NLCS.

Myers, who missed a significant portion of the season following hip surgery, made one appearance in the division series against Colorado, walking two and hitting a batter in two-thirds of an inning.

Myers' addition gives the Phillies 12 pitchers and reduces the bench to five.

The rest of the roster will remain as it was for the NLCS.

More to come ...

So the two B's stay, Brun and Bast.!! Wow what power that will show the Yanks. Meyers could be strong with all the rest he has had to recoup and Cairo wasn't going to be a DH. Wish Stairs was a switch-hitter. He would drive the Yanks nuts.

They are just going to bat him to intimidate Sabathia like Stairs was used in the Dodgers series.

Feel kind of sorry for Cairo. But if Myers has some bullets in that arm, he could be a HUGE addition for the team.

Love the move but feel bad for Cairo. Know he knows what Myers felt like in the LCS. Manuel has alot of guts. I know Amaro and his crew had some input but I think ultimately they roll with what Manuel wants. Myers will definitely see more action than Cairo ever would have. Then again, I hope we don't see Myers at all! Go Phils!

Bruntlett was kept over Cairo because Bruntlett has more experience playing the OF than Cairo so he can play more positions in an emergency situation. That, plus the fact that Cairo didn't show much in his ABs so far in the playoffs. It's a pretty obvious decision.

Bruntlett is a single A level, no-hitting, mediocre fielding waste of a roster space.

Meyers must have shone some good improvement to take away one of the bats, in an emergency they could use him to pinch hit, just sayin'...

This is about the 7th time I've said it this year, but Bruntlett and/or his family have to have some juice somehow somewhere (he did go to Stanford) because he consistently gets a coveted major league roster spot (in the World Series, no less) he simply does not deserve. The Phils do not need Bruntlett in the OF. Cairo is better, anyone is better. The fact that the guy gets a gig that would be a dream come true for so many peeps that he just doesn't deserve really get under my skin.

You dont need Bruntlett in the OF if you have Francisco. Bruntlett doesnt deserve a WS spot on the roster. That much is pretty obvious.
