Pedro Martinez is scheduled to throw for scouts, including a member of the Phillies front office, tomorrow in the Dominican Republic, club sources said yesterday.

Martinez, the 37-year-old righthander, threw for scouts two weeks ago in the Dominican Republic to mixed reviews. The Phillies were not in attendance at that work-out. But special assistant to the general manager Charlie Kerfeld, a mercenary scout of sorts who has a direct line to Ruben Amaro Jr., will be there tomorrow.

More to come.

get bullpen help (madson's confidence is shot). Use minor league guys. Several pitching very well.

Umm... Murph... there's a Don Zimmer on line 1... says he has something to say bout this. All that aside, Pedro Martinez would NOT be allowed to order from Genos.

Captain
The Rockies are not trading Marquis at this point....no chance. They are very much in the playoff hunt right now. So give up on that one.

Pat & Joyce
Robin Roberts threw off of the mound last October. Let the Mets sign Pedro so that we can shell him again.
